New designers flock to the Big Apple to get their Big Chance. Few of these
designers, however, see their dreams become a reality. With so many larger,
well-funded companies out there, small designers tend to get pushed aside.
There is a solution, and that is Kick Public Relations, the New York-
based boutique PR firm specializing in emerging designers.
"I love new fashion, and I love to see young designers motivated
by their ideas as much as their desire for financial success," says
Kate Sullivan, president and founder of Kick PR. "My clients invest
their resources in their products, and PR is often beyond their means.
I think someone needs to represent the small guys, the ones who should
be recognized for their hard work, talent, and especially their innovations."
Many of Kick PR's clients come from the New York division of Gen Art,
the leading arts and entertainment organization dedicated to showcasing
emerging fashion designers, filmmakers, musicians and visual artists.
"Designers engage Kick PR, knowing that they are getting the attention
they need and a 110% push for them and their designs."
Kick PR works with several media outlets to introduce new fashions and
new ideas to the people who make a difference; the editors. "I have
come to know many editors and I believe that they appreciate what I am
doing -- bringing to them new designs and products." Kick PR is based
in New York and works with designers throughout the country. For information

For
as long as Kate Sullivan can recall, she knew that she would make her
mark in the world by doing something she loved, she excelled at and something
that positively affected others. Since graduating from the University
of Denver in 2000, Kate has dipped her toes in some very exciting and interesting
fields that help her succeed today.
As a Coordinating Producer for shows on the Food Network and HGTV, she
proved her abilities and skill through writing, organizing, working in fast
paced environments and working with people to “make things happen.”
Though she enjoyed this work, Kate felt the need to pursue bigger challenges and decided to go into fashion and PR, her true passions.
Working with talented fashion designer Angela Moore, Kate
was in charge of the Public Relations and Marketing divisions of the company.
She developed relationships with editors of top magazines,
stylists at popular television shows and became immersed in fashion and PR in ways she never imagined.
At the end of 2004, she realized that she had true talent and passion for Public
Relations and decided make the leap to the Big Apple. From the seed of an idea that started Kick PR, Kate received overwhelming support from family, friends and industry contacts. This momentum brought Kate to New York City on schedule, with clients and a whole new world ahead.
Today, Kick PR is a boutique PR firm based on talent, passion, excitement
and knowledge. Kate searches high and low to take on designers and products
that are not yet mainstream but with a little "kick" they can grow to
a level they never knew was there. She wants to work with people who have
a great talent, limited budgets, and a desire to take that next step into
the public eye.
